Instruction:

I have an ACA Basic Coastal certification with a Traditional Endorsement, and BCU 4-star.   I teach for OOPS - the Oregon Ocean Paddling Society.

 If you are in the Olympia or Ilwaco, WA area, Tim Mattson (right)  is an excellent instructor.  See  http://www.inkdrop.net/qajaq/ . Tim is an ACA open coastal instructor and offers custom kayak instruction drawing from the best of traditional, euro, and wing paddles.

 Henry Romer is an ACA open coastal open  instructor with a traditional endorsement in Olympia, WA.  He is also a BCU coach 3, and 5* trainee.  Henry doesn't have a web site, but can be reached by clicking here.

SSTIKS is a weekend of traditional paddling instruction in June at Twanoh State Park in Washington.  See www.qajaqpnw.org  for details.
